About the destination

Soufrière, on the southwest coast of Saint Lucia, is the island’s postcard-perfect gem, framed by the iconic Pitons—two dramatic volcanic spires rising straight from the sea. The town itself is small and colorful, with creole cottages, busy waterfront scenes, and a laid-back rhythm that invites you to slow down. Stroll along its narrow streets, sample local snacks from street vendors, and enjoy the easy blend of Caribbean and French colonial influences that shape daily life here. Nature lovers will find Soufrière a paradise. Just outside town, you can explore the world’s only “drive-in volcano” at Sulphur Springs, where hot mineral-rich mud baths promise a soothing, if slightly sulfur-scented, spa experience.
